I am a 2D Character Animator, Stop Motion Animator, Animation Director, Illustrator, Storyboard Artist, Character Designer and Graphic Designer, as well as an animation educator, tutor and lecturer. I am a very versatile artist, who likes to portray the world through my imaginative eyes, giving a touch of magic and enchantment to all things around us.
I attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy (my home town), where I achieved a painting degree. I then worked for two years as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer for an Italian publishing company specialised in children books and publications. In 2007 I moved to London to attend a Post Graduate Course in 2D Character Animation at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design) achieving my Diploma in 2D Character Animation in 2008.
Since then I settled down in London to continue my animation path, but also still working in illustration and design.
In the past fourteen years I worked for many companies and animation studios, both in London and abroad, and for a large number of clients as a freelance Animator as well as a Designer, Storyboard Artist and Illustrator, for both commercial and more independent projects.
Since 2010 I also started teaching animation mostly to young people, running animation courses and workshops across London and abroad. In 2017 I lectured at Central Central Martins over the short course "Drawn Animation for Beginners", which led me to my latest 2D Animation Lecturing job at University of Central Lancashire in the premises of their partner Hebei University in Baoding, China.
Since 2020 I specialised in Toon Boom Harmony (studying rigging, animation and compositing) over a full time, three month course run by Toon Boom trainers, achieving a Toon Boom Harmony certificate after taking the official toon boom examination which consists in 6 modules.
following that, in 2021 I got a one year long employment at B-Water Studio/Animar Media in Barcelona, where I worked on the animated short film "The Hedgehog Tree" rigging and animating in Toon Boom Harmony. The short film was greatly acclaimed in many animation festivals worldwide in 2024/2025 and won a few awards.
In 2022/23 I got a full time employment at Doghead Animation Studio, animating on a few tv series all in Toon Boom Harmony ("Topo Gigio Season 2", "Pipo, Pepa and Pop", "Spooky Wolf") and on an adult Netflix show ("Zerocalcare" - This world can't tear me down").
In September 2023 I was employed as an animation lecturer by the British university Uclan (University of Central Lancashire) in their China partner branch at Hebei University in Baoding, China, where I lived and worked throughout the whole academic year 2023/2024.
I then started working for Toon Boom Animation Inc. as one of their trainers over the many online courses they run throughout the year, teaching animation on Toon boom Harmony and storyboarding on Toon Boom Storyboard Pro.
In December 2024 I was hired by Blue Zoo Animation Studio in London, United Kingdom, as part of their animation team working on a brand new children animated show for the BBC, "Rafi the Wishing Wizard". I worked on the show throughout the whole 2025 until end of January 2026, the show is now out on CBeebies and iplayer and it's gaining loads of attention and success for its innovative themes and all the magic it carries.
